Jason Bourne
Cast: Matt Damon, Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, Riz Ahmed, Ato Essandoh
Directed by: Paul Greengrass
A rogue former spy wreaks havoc on his former employers. Jason Bourne explores his father's death and the reason for his recruitment into the CIA while he evades the agents tracking him across continents. He encounters old names and is contacted by new faces. Action packed with cyber ops, clandestine hand to hand combat, this is the same Bourne in a post-Snowden world.
Sestra C. This film, although completely satisfying, gave me an awful headache (but maybe it was just poor seating choice, and I blame my sestras for that). Either I got used to the energy or the movie eventually tamed down, but post Stiles' demise, things got better. Like old Bourne films this takes two different paces, where mellow scenes require a lot of fast reading through documents and fast ones demanded full attention, so you know who's getting most of the hits. Vikander's character give viewers much to hope for. Of course, she is not the typical leading lady that action stars get--that was Stiles, and she died even before the movie starts to properly engage you.
